Curious about the cost of each of those mods.

I am 5'7" 28" inseam .

First thing i bought for my 2008 FLHRC was the jiffy stand exstention kit ,it was like $30 .

Then i sent my stock seat to MeanCity and had them lower and narrow it several inchs . This was a thrifty $150 including shipping ,way cheaper than buying an expensive new seat looks good super comfey as i had some memorey foam added.

I just bought some 12" street glide air shocks and i will soon swap them out for my 13" stock shocks . the shocks were takeoffs i bought on ebay $44.50+ $15 shipping .

Also tilted the handlebars about 2.5" lower and closer to me, cost free.

get some tall boots have your local cobler build up the heel and sole , buy them a half size larger and put a cpl thick insole pads in them ....now your taller.

All I had to do was modify my seat and wear boots. I don't need to have both feet on the ground. Im fine with one secure foot on the ground. Being 5'5" balance is the key to riding bikes regardless of size.

I'm 5'6" and find my stock suspension '08 RG to be just fine. I did change the bars to the 'heritage' style to relieve some back pain but that's it. I haven't tried an '09 up with the newer frame but I understand the wider frame makes them feel taller.

He had lowered the front and had just bought progressive shocks for the rear. He had shaved a seat down to nothing and still was on his tippy toes at rest. I like to ride the new touring bikes also but it seems to me that if it don't fit, then don't ride it.
and here's 4'11'' victoria riding an ultra that has not been lowered...

It isn't the riding. It's the stopping and backing it into a space or out of a space and sitting at a stoplight. Short people and big bikes are a poor mix. Could be why they show her picking it up at the end.

I'm 5'7 and 29 inseam....Mine is a RG custom so it's a bit lower to begin with. A Mustang lowdown seat and it works great for me. I usually do wear boots with heels but not always.

Ditto on the Mean City Cycle memory foam mod. Feels good so far. Narrower and a little lower. I don't think there is too much else you could do to the SG though. It is pretty slammed from the factory.

actually, its a cut from another clip. they show her picking it up to show that a 'small' person can pick up a big bike, without popping a nut. actually, comparatively speaking, when it comes to an 900 lb bike, we're all small.
