Nowadays nobody mentions this type of equipment that made a world of difference when Angel Nieto introduced it in the 70's.

My standard a/c backplate has the rounded intake "lip" truncated compared to yours, so it's well adapted to operate up to 6,000 RPM. To remain legal, we are only offered V&H Monster Ovals; in this case I would have a bit less torque in the low end but able to burn more fuel in the higher revs due to the two identical pipes that provide less back pressure than the original ones. Cruising at low speed with the new exhaust changeover valve is quite pleasant for older people
My tuner (whos been building race bikes for 40 years) likes to adjust the butterfly to where its not exactly flat at WOT. Its got just enough slant to it to affect the airflow. This could explain why.

Slip in a set of 204's, a good tune and forget the turbolator. You will be more than happy.

Thanks for the lead, these cams seem to fulfill my needs.

Have you done the change yourself and kept the original pushrods? The local HD technician told me to remain under 100HP to play safe.

Installed adjustables. Saves time and lets me set the preload. You won't see 100hp without doing the heads. You sure have some great roads to ride where you are.

True, and the most sophisticated means of law enforcement as well

If you appreciate to live in an area that has one town every 5 miles with 30mph speed limit, 20mph in the city center, 40mph in the outskirts, potholes with sand and loose gravel in spring, hysteric and saturated traffic in the summer, bone freezing temperature during 5 long foggy months of the winter season... Then yes we are lucky to live here.

I enjoy YOUR roads better, perhaps because part of my family still lives in BC, Victoria included
