Any opinions on Saddlemen Touring seats

I had a Saddlemen Explorer w/ driver backrest for a summer on a Metric. I just couldn't get used to it. I'm 6-1 230lbs and I kept wanting to skooch back. Felt like it moved me to far forward and it wasn't as comfortable as I thought it should be. Still had saddle soreness after a couple hundred miles Sold it and bought a Mustang. Never looked back from there. Much more comfortable in my opinion.

Bought the road sofa 4 or 5 years ago. This seat takes time to break in, I didn't like it in the beginning but once that seat had over 500 miles on it it got better and better. The seat did move me forward a bit and that took some getting used to. I only use it for longdistance rides when I plan on doing 500 or more miles a day.

I have a Road Sofa on my 2008 Road Glide and it was never comfortable for my girlfriend. We ended up at a local seat shop and they cut the top off and started over. It is much more comfortable now.
I personally will not buy one again. I spent $600 for the seat and $450 get it fixed so it would make our butts numb.
The seat is made of a really stiff black foam with a spot cut out on the middle for the gel pads. The lip between the black foam and the gel pads was the problem.
