Best Cams for Stock 103 2012
I have a set of black rocker boxe covers (upper and lowers) that im going to be having put on soon. I guess while they off might as well do cams too. These will be going on a 2012 Road Glide 103. Motor is stock and I dont plan to race or make huge numbers, just want something to get the bike to sound a little cammed and maybe run a little better.
Performance Mods are as Followed
2012 103
V&H Dresser Duals
CFR Mufflers
PCV from Fuel Moto
As well as what cams are best, what other parts am I going to need? Again, i just want a nice sounding cam that doesnt need head work, pistons, etc.

Hands down, no questions asked, the Woods TW-777. Capable of reaching the 100/100 club with just a cam swap in a stock 103. Order from Fuel Moto, and they also have a kit that has everything you need.

Good luck.

JMHO but there is no "sliver bullet". There are several cams to choose from but as a "bolt in" I like the Andrews 48 better for a cam only upgrade in a stock 103" engine. Earlier intake close of 29*means more compression compared to most other cams in this category with later intake close event, 40* or later. Earleir intake close means more torque earlier in the curve. Pulls down low like the SE255 but does not fall on its face above 4000rpms like the 255. The 48 will hit 100TQ/90HP in an other wise stock 96". Haven't seen any dyno sheets on 103s with 48s; most guys think they need more cam but bigger isn't always better. I would expect 105+TQ and mid 90s HP with a good tune in a 103". Early torque, flat curve and a lot of fun to ride. JMHO.

lotsa great cams, typically whatever cam someone has is "the best". Determine how you ride 1st. Do you ride 2 up all the time and rarely see more than 3000 rpm? Do you like to let your bike rev a little and take the occasional trip to redline? Figure out how you ride then type "cams" into the search engine, read for hours. Use google, this forum has its favorite cams, other forums have other favorites. Talk to your local indy and see what they like.... Good luck!

SE204. Works well at the compression of the 103 motors, and has the old school idle you say you're looking for. They will work well right off idle in a 103, and build all the way through the mid range. Really good bagger cam, as long as you're not pulling a trailer. If you need a tractor cam, look at the SE255s or the Andrews 48s.
I have the 204s in my bike, and have complete strangers come up to me and ask "what cams do you have in that thing?". One of the very few stage II type cams with a bit of that old school idle.
