Me too but I've already protected my switch and will not be bringing my bike in.

Harley is required to send the notices out for a Safety Recall, and perform the service free of charge.
If you do not return to the dealer to have the service performed, you are releasing Harley from any responsibility for anything that may happen that may be related to the brakes.
This means that if you don't take it in and anything happens, you are responsible. If anyone is hurt, you can be held civilly (means YOU pay money) responsible. If anything goes wrong with the brakes, Harley can claim they are not required to do anything.
Having the Free Service performed is a "No Brainer". Is it worth your significant other's life not to have it done?

I was on the fence like you are but I'm glad I did. Takes about 30 min and with ABS I needed them to hook up their fancy little hand held computer thing to activate the brakes when bleeding. Besides it's free. I don't see any down side to having it done.
Got mine today, will get it in when I can, seems like you would have to be a dumb *** to not get it done, just saying. It's free and it's the only way to cover your *** down the road if something else goes wrong and you didn't get it done.

Add one more incident to the list. My brake light went out at 20,000 miles in 2010, about a month after the warranty expired. I replaced it for about $20.00 and put it on myself. No loss of brake fluid or introduction of air if your careful. If your not careful you will have a soft pedal after the replacement. Remember that when you get your bike back from the dealer and you have soft rear brakes, and many will.
Dealers got a list of the bikes that were affected and the owners info. They always get early information so that they can order the needed parts and be ready.
I looked at the list that the scheduler had. My son's 12 Ultra was on it but my 12 Road Glide was not as it was a latter build with the new switch installed. That was a couple of weeks ago.
You don't even need the letter to schedule the work.
