Being on the inside of the shield it won't be getting hammer by bug entrails however when I was installing the chrome support pieces that attached to the nacelle, I did manage to put a light scrape on the paint. It didn't go through, just took a bit of the shine off. It would be good to have an extra pair of hands to help get these pieces attached.

As to long-term durability...time will tell. Worse case is that I need to go find the small jar of paint and do some touch-up.

Tinting can be removed easily and if properly applied, won't leave a mark. Paint will require paint "removal" that will ruin the acyrlic.

Everything that I had read about spray-on tint is that it is PITA to work with. Egras2k confirmed this.
