Just had mine done and picked up last night. Yes the mushy problem is there BIG time. So calling back this morning to have them fix it. When I first hit the rear almost had the OS factor kick in thinking my foot was heading to the floor board and not stopping... After pumping a few times they got back to the normal point... I hate that when you get something done you have to bring it back to get the item that was done FIXED!!!

From what I can read here and on other forums, regardless of whether or not you have ABS, the brake system MUST be bled free of air. Both places go on to say that if ABS is present on the machine, a device called a digial tech has to be used to ensure that all air is purged from the system. Don't quite understand what the device does but will follow the recommendation. Haven't had mine done yet but will as the situation presents itself. Some guys are acutally attaching a type of heat sheild to help deflect the heat of the pipes away from the switch, either the replacement switch or the old one.

We been bleedin the brakes with a Multivac. Don't understand why a machine has to bleed them. Yer bleeding air from Brake lines.

Had mine done the other day and everything went as it should...no problem at all...I was never formally notified, just so happened I was in with another issue and the service manager told me about the recall and said that he would take care of it while I was there. Went off without a hitch.

Had mine done yesterday. I was getting 2 codes one for front brake switch open and another for rear brake switch open. About the same time theses codes started popping I also developed a miss and stall while idling. Don't see how brake switch throwing codes would cause this. Guess ill just have keep driving it and see it it still misses and stalls now that brake switch has been replaced. Dealer also told me they the latest update on abs. Hope this solves the abs backing the brakes off when u hit a bump and glide 30 more feet making the abs think the wheel is locked up and releases pressure. Had a van that was the same way on bumps

I recieved a call from the guy that I have always worked with at the dealerships service department.

I knew about it ahead of time from this forum but he called me Tuesday night to tell me about.

Do a search on here and your sure to find all the info. I believe it is for all 09-11/12 touring models. Some rear brake switch that gets to hot due to be close to exhaust causing it to stop working.

I might not be exactly on but thats what i get from it.

Got letter in mail 2 days ago. I heard about the recall on this site about 2-3 weeks before it made the tv stations. Go to USA Harley site won't work on Canadian site. You have to make a user profile with zip code. So I used 14302 niagara falls my to get around the country problem. Then there is spot for recall notices. Punch in your vin number and active and recalls performed will come up
