Default Throttle Body Connector Cover

I was wondering if anyone has installed the new HD throttle body cover that hides the electricla connector? I have a Ness Big Sucker and thought I'd give the HD part #61300110 a try to see if it work, but of course my dealer says "You buy it, it's yours" . According to the info in the catalogue it is supposed to be used with the Heavy Breather assy. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

Just thought someone may have tried this already and I'm looking for some feedback. Thanks!

I tried one and it wouldn't work because the "ears" were in the way. When I called the dealer they told me it only worked with the heavy breather and not the regular Screamin' Eagle backplate which is essentially what the Ness is. My dealer didn't hesitate to refund my money on this, or any other item I decided I didn't want. I have bought items, bolted them on, then decided I didn't want them after they were on for one reason or another, never had a problem with a return. You might want to consider a different dealer to work with.

I have one and love it, but I also have the Heavy Breather. If your dealer says you bought it you own it and won't take it back, go to another dealer. Any of them should take it back as long as it's not scratched up.

My bike is in getting the inner fairing painted right now, I'll post pics tomorow when I pick it up.

there is a another cover i have seen used... it is only a slight improvement as the cover interrupts the visual line of the rear intake pushrod cover.

look around for that and i think the master marketers of shiny stuff, kuryakin, sell something too

I stayed with the football cover, I'm fine with it

you could also use a late model dyna air cleaner cover. they have a great looking sweep to them and that sweep covers the throttle body electrics.

I got the kuryakyn cover shown above and am happy with it as well.
One thing you might not have noticed is what looks ribs of the left side, is actually vented, seems like a good idea to me.

I am looking into the HD cover as well. I know it'll work with a Heavy Breather, but I wonder if it will work with a PM FASTair intake? If it does, I'll get the PM, if it doesn't, going with a Heavy Breather.
