Has anyone installed the brake light chrome covers, I bought them thinking it was self adhesive, But you have to drill four holes, I know i can do it ,but is it worth it, Does it really look good? Have nt seen one in person. Thanks for reply, Danny.

Use tape to hold them in place and eyeball them.

Me, I wouldn't use any kind of cover or visor on lights which might narrow the spread angle.

Mine are held in place by the same screws that hold the lite in themselves.

Ah, that explains the confusion. I thought the OP was asking about the chrome brake light collar that is installed on the main brake center brake light mounted on the bike.

Can't tape them in place because there are two studs on the chrome pieces. I put them on and I'm ok with the look but I would not do it again due to the obnoxious installation. If I did them at the dealer I would drill out the studs in an old set and use them as a template for future installations. Something you can't do with one set. The crappy paper cut-out template they provide is little help. I ended up butchering the drilling a bit but thankfully it is hidden by the chrome.
Looks ok but I wouldn't do it again and it can be a messy job.

Went through the same thing with my EGC and the chrome wrap around on the brake light I put on the tour pak. MEASURE, MEASURE and MEASURE AGAIN!!!!!!!! BEFORE DRILLING!!!!!!! Don't ask me how I know!!!!! CMAO!!!! (crying my azz off) But they do look great afterwards. Thank god the oooppppsss on the drilling did not show unless you were down low beside bike and looked up.
