Default Heavy vibration

My dealer told me my motor mounts needed repacing so i had it done. Since then the vibration has been at least 3 times worse than before. Does anyone know why this could be and how to correct?

I forgot to mention that I ride a 2004 Electr Glide that has been built to a 96 CI. I had very little vibration until the motor mounts were replaced. Any ideas?

It does take some time for the mount to settle in. Lots of folks have complained about the vibrations that the newer style HD mount creates. I assume that is what you went with. A good alternative mount is the Glide Pro.

The stock one your bike were very soft but these new rubber mounts are very hard and longer life and it does mellow down once you get to cruising speed.

Yep. Give em a little time to "cure". They will soften to some degree with use. Lots of things can cause vibration, not just worn motor mounts. Hope you figure it out. And hope you really needed mounts and didn't get "sold" a set you didn't really need.

Thanks for the info and the suggested Glide Pro mount. The dealer is changing them out now but if that doesn't work I will look for Glide Pro. Does anyone know where to get them?

My next task is to try and quieten down my rebuild. Since built I have a lot of top end noise. A friend tells me it's the lifters that were installed. He suggested that I should try "Black Ops Lifters". Does anyone have any experience with them?
