Doc will set ya straight, that's a good plan.

Woods will tell ya the compression is too low for what ya want out of it...I would bet the farm on it.

Give Doc a shot at it B4 ya do anything 1st

I've got some dyno sheets in my profile; build is in sig. TW7H specs out like TW6-6 with more lift. Mine was tuned by Doc and has been mentioned, he would be a great starting point; IMHO you can only get so close with a "canned" map or an auto-tuner I would've imagined that the 30 tooth trans sprocket would've taken care of any 'sluggishness', mine is more than acceptable from 2400rpm up but really gets on the cams about 3200. Quick question, did you go with the Andrews or Baker 30 tooth and did you have to change your belt? ALSO, what exhaust are you running?

Went with Andrews 30 tooth. Also 1 tooth shorter belt. Have Jackpot Exhaust. If I don't see some compelling and definitive reason to make a change in cams, I'll probably just let Doc squeeze out all that this build has to offer.

No one has made any comment about a +4 gear. Is this just not something that really works?

Ask Doc about the + 4 it works in some applications better then others, it's not a cure all for every build.
