CVO are very nice bike but as everyone said, mods never ends. If you keep your SG, you could go to a next step like a 26" wheel and so on, making it a show-bike...
'09 and newer frames are better but with a some mods, a older frame ride well like they ride since lot of years
I had the same problem some 2 years ago and i decided to keep my old '04, ride it and transform it step by step. I still don't regret it everytime i see it.

Technically you only need to buy 1 Harley.
That is part of what is great about them.
There is nothing you cannot get for them when they wear out.
You can even have the motor rebuilt by the factory and can get tins painted to match.
Whatever you buy, you will customize it to your personal taste.
If you sell and buy another bike, no matter how 'loaded' it is, you are going to be spending money on personalization.
My 2000 is 6 years older than my last bike and I like it better. I am still in process of personalization, not much more to go. I am going to keep this one for a very long time, done selling and buying bikes for a while. I like my present bike so much, I do not want to start all over again. It has a lot of miles ahead of it and I am setting it up for me, not to hand the keys to someone else and start over again. My 2 cents on the subject.
