Street Glide rear shock change to RG or UG shocks?

Two cautions: I'm not sure pre '09 shocks are interchangeable with '09 and and later shocks due to the frame change. Find out and make sure you are buying something that will work with your bike.
Secondly, make sure you buy shocks that have been properly capped or plugged at removal to prevent oil loss. If the seller doesn't say this has been done, ask. If he doesn't answer, don't buy.

Found a pair of '11 take-offs and the current price range on eBay is $100 - $120.
There was a sale on eBay that I withdrew my bid because the seller didn't know about capping them and couldn't answer how they stored.

I replaced my SG shocks with take offs from an Ultra. The ride is like night and day. A tremendous improvement. The best part is it only cost me about $50 on Ebay!
You may be able to find someone who wants to lower their bike and you can trade shocks. The funny part is riders like the look of the lower shocks on their bike but to tell the truth nobody has even noticed that my SG sits 1" higher!
