Best-looking / most effective (did I mention best-looking?) shields I've tried. And that's a pretty nice price...

Nice looking, the other brands I've seen are smaller. Do they really make a difference?

Thanks for the heads-up.

My first mod was adding a pair of Kuryakyn AirMaster Saddle Shields for $70. The polycarbonate is a clear/chrome which is a pretty cool look.

However, for a few more bucks I'm going to have to get the ones you mention. The look is WAY cooler.

Thanks again,
Ken

Yes they do help with the heat. RJ was the original designer for these heat shields. Harley got the idea to make theirs from his design.

Hopefully you will support a American craftsman who uses American made pieces.

If you have an '07-08, they're vital to testicular protection.

'09's, they look nice and help some.

'10-'11, a bit more help until you get rid of the cat.

Once you get rid of the cat, they're helpful to some extent (I have the Tall Boy seat, which is a bit narrower evidently - One burn to the inner thigh at a stoplight from the motor was enough for me) and there's a certain stylistic improvement (IMO) that helps "fill the void" behind the motor in that area.

I've had mine on my 05 for six years. No doubt one of the best accessories I"ve added to the bike. They work very well, can't imagine riding a Harley without them. They look as new today as they did when I purchased them. RJ designed the first product like this and IMHO the other copy cats just don't compare with the look of RJ's product.
