Default Did 00/01 FLHRCIs come with Sundowners as the stock saddle?

So I've been on the lookout for a Sundowner for my 06 RKC to replace my OEM seat. I ran across a local guy who is selling what he says is an OEM saddle that he took off his 01 RKC. It's wider then my OEM and it has the slit behind the front seat for the installation of a backrest. The more I think about how it looks, the more I'm thinking it's a Sundowner. The guy indicated he bought the bike new from a dealer, so I'm wondering if the 00/01 RKC came with Sundowners as part of the stock package. Either that or the stock saddle back then seems to be different from stock saddles nowadays.

Thoughts?

A stock road king seat would have the RK badge on the sides.

Seats change over the years due to customer demand and styling changes.

If you like his seat, throw it on.

It does have the same classic look like the OEM on my bike. Basketweave and conchos. He's not asking for a lot of money for it, so maybe I'll grab it and see what happens. Maybe that older stock saddle will be more comfortable then the one the came on my 06.

Just to add, the Sundowner for the RKC has the emblem and basketweave that goes with the rest of the styling so it looks stock.

NO...they came with the seat that has no back support or comfort level IMO....I had a 2000 FLHRCI and it wasn't very long I replaced it with a Sundowner seat....the stock seat had the slit in it behind the rider for a backrest too.

Stock seat for an 06 RKC is 52934-98A, the 98 says that it would be very close to the same as the earlier seat, the "A" means there was some kind of change, but not a completely different design.
