Default Passenger Adjustable pegs or footboards???

Hello I would like to know what the best way to go is for raising my passenger footboards for my son who is 6 so he can ride with me once in awhile? I will say Im not a huge fan of pegs and I prefer footboards but whatever works best will do for me I know kury makes some and HD carrys some please give me your opinions and preferences and also part numbers if you have them.

Thanks

I used the Kury wings, with their adj mounts...the wife likes them better, wide rang of adjustability, and they are about 2 to 3 inches aft of the stock boards, so less interferance with your calves......JMHO

What year and model bike do you have? My 11 RKC has 2 places to install the passenger floor boards. A lower and upper location. You may want to make sure you have yours in the upper mounting position. I have the Kuryakyn adjustable passenger pegs also. 6 years old seems pretty young but obviously that's your call.

What kind of bike? On the Ultra I think the Kuryakyn passenger adjustable foot pegs work well. At 6 years old I dont know of any foot boards that adjust high enough for 6 year old legs. That being said I've seen pics on here of people using wooden blocks on the footboards making it high enough for them to put there feet on and its only used when he/she rides.

I installed the HD adjustable passenger footboards with matching inserts. They're not cheap, I will say that, but they are nice looking and serve the purpose well. Then, you can use your passenger pegs with highway mounts for you!

www.lshd1.com will be your friend for this purchase.

I have a 2005 electra glide classic and my 6yr old is pretty tall for his age already.....I sat him on the bike in the correct riding position and measured from the top of the footboard to the bottom of his shoe and its right around 6" or so give or take I know the kury adjustable passenger pegs would work but like I said Im not really a fan of pegs I like footboards for 2 reasons 1 they look nicer and 2 the foot is planted on more of a solid platform verses a bar

Barons custom accessories makes a rear comfort kit for baggers that works real nice, installed quite a few over the years.....here is a link to the 10-12 kit: http://www.baronscustom.com/catalog/...047/index.html

for 09 and older bikes, there is an up or a down kit too. Hope this helps.
