Anybody have any experience with this company?? I like the inner dash -- wonder how it will wear as it is film with clearcoat over it --- paul http://www.carbonfiberworks.com/
The process they use is called Hydro dipping or water transfer printing. The clear coat is an automotive clear coat, so it will hold up as well as a painted inner. It's the same process they use on cammo four wheelers and guns and stuff. Auto co's also use it to put the wood grain on interior arts for cars. I have been doing a ton of research on this process, hopefully I will have a system set up this winter. I'm getting started with it as soon as I get my new oven for powder coating built.
Great look. I'd prolly go with a carbon fibre inner fairing if I didn't have mine color matched already.
Something to look forward to on my next bike I guess...
You're not limited with carbon fiber. There is tons of patters. There is acrually a base color that is painted on your part prior to dipping it, then the part is dipped then cleared over. these to pieces are the same print, only difference is the base coat.
