Default Kuryakin Premium ISO Grips

I just finished installing these grips on my RKC and I have a few questions. I installed the left side grip first as per the instructions. I orientated the rubber towards my palm like the instructions suggested, so far so good.

The right side grip installation went pretty smooth too with the exception that the orientation of the two grips do not match each other. The rubber section of the right grip does not end up in the same position as left grip. I can't see where the right grip can be adjusted up or down unless the switch housing is moved as well.

Am I missing something ?? It appears that once the right grip is installed then the left grip should be installed to match the right grip. This does not offer much room to play with in the left grip to find that "sweet spot" in your palm.

Anyone else run into this ???

Thanks,
Ray

I do the right first because of the same issue Ive had in the past, I think you have to try and get the left one off then reglue it so that it looks good.

when I do my grips I always make sure that the right one feels good at about half throttle. Then match the left one. I do not make them match at rest.

That makes perfect sense.

You should have a little bit of wiggle room with the throttle and idle cables as well. Not very much, but if you tighten and loosen them accordingly, you might get it closer.

I did the throttle side first also, mainly because you don't have alot of options once you glue the left grip on. PITA to get it off to maneuver it! [:'(]

I wish I would have known all the secrets prior to installing. !!

Luckily, I wrapped the left side handlebar with electrical tape instead of glueing as per a post that I read here previously.

Unfortunately, it did not mention anything about which grip to do first.

Thanks to all for your advice...

Ray
