Default air suspension options????

I am removing my DB system & was going to return to the Progressive 440's I had on before(WAY WAY better than the stock shocks), or possibly try a set of Works because by all reports they are even better than the Progressive.

The problem is, now that I have become used to the height adjustment option I don't think I want to go back to a fixed height shock. I am 5'6" & have short legs & the "slammed down" option is real nice when backing up at parking lot speeds etc.

Now, I am trying to decide if it's worth putting up with the slightly stiffer air shock ride to get this option. If I stay with the air shocks( I am leaning in this direction), I am deciding between the Legend system(by all reports the best you can buy)or one of the less expensive setups. I considered the Hi-Lo system, but a friend of mine has that setup & I'm not real impressed with it. It is cheaper than the Legend, but in my case not by a whole lot. A buddy of mine is a wholesale Legend dealer & can get that system for me at almost the same price as the Hi-Lo.

Another option is the Platinum "bleed & feed" system(around the same price). That system looks interesting, but I have never heard of anybody running it & I hate to buy something with no feedback on it.

The Legend system has a really slick control button setup that replaces the clutch lever cap so it looks factory installed. I know in the past, Legend had problems with leaking systems but I imagine that has been remedied by now.

Does anyone have any comments on these systems from personal use???

Progressive also has a new air-tail IAS set-up for baggers...also very pricey! Hey, think Tony will shoot us a refund to put towards a safe & reliable system?

That is an interesting option also, but again I don't know anybody who has run it.

I emailed Tony about return options, but I'm not really expecting much. For $400 I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

now thats not true, that part numebr is used in an application designed for the corvette, but for all we know he contacted Monroe and they recommended this shock due to the dimensions and specs he provided to them. Why would he make a custom shock application if one already exsisted that was really really close?

[/quote]

Good point....I would think Monroe has exposure with this system too and wouldn't sell them to Tony if the application didn't fit
