I have been reading all the posts on the draggin baggers since day one, everybody for the most part was extremely happy with there system except for the odd minor leak. Now that some guys have some sheathing rubbed through on there wiring fully slammed, or it touched there exhaust fully extended, they have some death trap they can no longer ride. If it was me that bought the draggin bagger system and I was happy with the overall ride of the system, I wouldn't be throwing it away I just wouldn't ride fully extended or fully slammed and enjoy the darned motorcycle. If the shocks used stop a 3500 pound corvette from bouncing, surely they should be able to take a 1000 pound motorcycle without giving out. I think that the guys that bought the draggin bagger system should just use it and enjoy it......knowing its limations, and the fact that its less than half the price of a comparable system.

I contacted the company as soon as I found out they were advertising their product without being a sponsor here. The problem was that the members were doing most of the talking after Dragon Baggers removed their website. I also told them how to be a sponsor here but they chose not to take advantage of our advertising. Just like the classified ads, it's up to you guys to decide if you want to risk your money on an internet advertisement.

I am on a Yamaha Rhino site. This is exactly why the owner/administrator doesn't let folks just come on the promote garage built junk.
The thing that sours me is, the DB folks took too long to respond.

Exactly! Where does all this great fear come from that people are going to die from this? I can understand if you want your money back and you feel ripped off, but this fear mongering about people dying and all this danger seems to be a red herring in this discussion. Danger from what exactly? Your wire harness rubbing into flames???

AGREED 100%.....If they've just gotta 'look cool' by riding slammed all the time, make some modification to your wiring...run it on top of the fender or weld some small metal tubing to the underside of the fender to keep the wiring protected.
The only thing more pathetic than all the turncoats blasting the draggin baggers system now, is that Tony has abandoned everyone here.....For that I can understand the outrage toward him...but not his product. You got what he advertised...a cheap working system that had cut a few corners.
BountyHunter- If you contact Monroe again, I'd be interested in knowing what it would cost to have some custom shocks made. If we've got to have a minimum order quantity, we could arrange a group purchase on the forum here. I was going to go with the Gabriel shocks that another member reported as being considerably better....but if a custom valved option is within reasonable price range, I'll jump in along with all the other draggin bagger users no doubt.

Actually it turns out that I was speaking out of ignorance at that time!!! I waited the full 30 days and listened to the others peoples opinions of the system before buying. Now that I went through all that and then bought the system ,installed it and rode it for 6 weeks I have an opinion based on exp. (my exp). You on the other hand are talking about a problem that you havent expeirienced first hand. So your 2 cents is just that,worthless!!!!!!!!![sm=boink3.gif]

Speaking out of ignorance? Worthless?
Were you not the guy that was all public against the DB system in the first place?
At that time you didn't even own one and you had an opinion and I'm guessing you were not speaking out of ignorance? Turns out you were right.....
But then you posted this.... https://www.hdforums.com/m_806804/tm.htm So now I'm just confused.

First of all, if you didnt invest in the system, and put your trust in Tony, then your opinion is worthless. because your speaking out of ignorance.

I have never really ever jumped from a 100 foot bridge to the hard ground before, but I have an opinion that it might not really be a good idea to try it.
So since I have no first hand experiance with being stupid enough to jump off that bridge, should I not say something to my drunk bro thats about to try it???
Just wonderin, never know when that situation just might present itself.

Look, you actually went and bought a product you initially slammed, and you made the biggest deal about it to anyone who would listen.
Then you make a public apology to the DB guys and you guys hug.
Then you get all mad cause it's actually the crappy product you suspected it to be in the first place. [:@]
That all tells me this...Mr. DI75's opinion is worthless.
There is no one to be mad at but Mr. DI75.
Yeah lets beat up the guys who normally support ya there DI. That will make it all better....

RE: Draggin Bagger & Monroe shocks!
Even from afar, it was obvious DB was a cheap "bling-only" add-on which would allow you to lower the back of your bike outside the bar and draw some attention to yourself. If you like that kind of thing, more power to you. I am shocked anyone would think it was a performance add-on, or would ever try to ride it slammed. Common sense would dictate there just isn't enough space left for safe rear wheel travel, when you lower the bike so the fender almost rests on the tire. The fact some forum members, who have used the system as it was designed, aren't critical of it, would lead one to conclude there may have been some "operator error" in instances where the system is being criticized.
While everyone is responsible for their own purchase decisions, there were some people on this forum who promoted this system like it was the best thing since sliced bread, perhaps somewhat irresponsibly. Those endorsements may have contributed to the feeding frenzy that sucked so many people into buying this system.
Now, with all that said, DB's vanishing owner is another story and I do feel bad for guys that spent their hard earned money on something that disappointed them. I hope there is a solution for all.
