Default Will lowers w/ speakers fit w/ SE heavy breather on St Glide

Looking at putting fairing lowers on 2010 Street Glide. I have the SE heavy breather installed and want to put speakers in the lowers, looks like a tight fit. Will they fit? Also worried if setup will it cut to much air from breather and hinder performance? Anyone else running similar setup?

Do you have the standard or compact filter?

Installed the standard filter. I know the speaker cover will stick out at least an 1.5" from the lower just hoping it won't hit the filter and or block the air flow and lower the performance. Any ideas or options? I may just have to pass on putting the speakers in.

If you go with the compact filter it should fit.

open your harley davidson parts and accessories catalog and find your snorkel type air cleaner. it will tell you whether the air cleaner will be compatible with your lowers.

According to the P&A catalog, neither of the HD kits for speakers in the lowers will work with Heavy Breather Air Cleaner; see page 601 (for the CVO speaker box product), and page 605 (for the add-on speaker product).

Hogtunes and Hawg-wired offer kits for speakers in vented lowers; call and ask them about fitment with their products.

I had a SE HB on my x, when I added the lowers I went to the compact filter. That worked fine with the lowers, But I could not get the glove box open. There is not a lot of room for the speaker grills. I am not sure that it will work. I have seen some posts where someone was able to redrill the HB and move it back an inch or so. Good luck and let us know what you find.
