Default garmin Zumo 550

Does the fairing mount HD offers work with the garmin Zumo 550? Part number is 92238-09. The book states it is for the 660 or 665 but maybe it works on the 550??
If not, did HD ever offer a fairing mount for this one?

Thanks

The form factor of the 550 is very different from the 660 and 665. It is unlikely they are compatible.

The 660 series use a much different cradle assembly. Not compatible. Yes, Harley offered a fairing mount for the 550.

PN #92366-08

I sent you a PM.

I've installed this kit twice. I found that the hole they ask you to drill in the fairing is too small to get the cable connectors through. I ended up making the hole bigger and then packing the hole with some silicon goop.

YMMV

Here is a better alternative than drilling a hole in your fairing. Its the Ram ball mount that mounts at the bottom of your mirror stalk. It puts the GPS right over your handlebar/clutch lever bracket and does away with the unsightly U bracket that mounts around the handlebar or the bracket that mounts in place of the clutch housing clamp. I had no bar mounted mirrors when I mounted mine, but I believe you can use this bracket and your mirrors with no problem.
