which River Road jacket do y'all recommend as the best all around? I plan on riding till it gets real cold, i'm looking at the Mesa, Rambler, and the Cruiser.

You are going to try'em on before buying, ain't 'cha ???

yes, it actually does. I've raced dirtbikes when it's cold and don't like it!

i am gonna try them on, just trying to find out about function form people that have put them through the test.

Sure it's colder up here. But our bikes will be in storage and 57red, will be out in the cold wind, so he probably freezes as much as we do, before we put our bikes away.

can't help you on those particular jackets--- like many of us I have a 1/2 dozen leathers in the closet.

THE BEST jacket I've ever had for riding is the harley 3 in 1 jacket.

it is a nylon jacket with mesh front and inner sleeves-- armor in the elbows and shoulders

It has a Zip on heavy nylon front panel that covers the mesh front and sleeves--

and a rain liner that goes on underneath.

far and away the best jacket for riding, conforms to changes in temp and dry/wet, armor can't hurt, reflective striping. lots of good pockets

check ebay or used for better prices, I paid $110
