no there is no problem taking the rear covers off,its close but no big deal, you will need the torque adapter for the rocker bolts as the manual says, you do have a manual?

The breather bolts are more of a pain then the rocker bolts but still not a problem

Did the same and went thru the rocker boxes, bike sounds the same as stock as for as internals go. No weird noises like I've heard people talk about off and on.

No. Also, I wouldn't start this project without a shop manual. I made a little tool to torque the rocker cover bolts back properly. Many don't worry about it and just tighten them up evenly. But they were not hard to get off.
