Default 140 brand tire size fitment?

Looking to put a 140 rear tire on my 02 Road King using the Pingel spacer and understand that the size tire I need is MU85B16, but it seems that only Metzeler and Dunlop make this size. I want wide white walls so the E-3's are out which only leaves either Dunlop 402's or Metzeler 880's. I don't want stock due to poor handling, which then only leaves the 880's which I have heard mixed reviews regarding quality. Looked at Avon but they only come in 140/90B16. Can I run the Avon or will this raise my back end and throw of speedo? Am I stuck going with either stock or the Metz?

My 02 Road King had a 140 metz WWW on it when I bought it. I have run the MU90 also. No problems, about 10,000 miles each. I am on my 3rd rear tire, when these wear out I am going blackwalls, tired of the cleaning.

There is nothing wrong with the quality of Metzler tires. They just don't wear as good as an E3. They will wear better than the Avon though.

Better than the Avon? Maybe they are the better way to go...

I have that Avon size in WW it fits but I had to take off the rubber belt guard flap and when you back the bike up the belt touches the edge of the WW no big deal but it is hard to keep clean handling is awesome tho
