I'm not an expert but given the fact that you had to replace the stator and voltage regulator a couple times within a year, I'd look hard for a short that is causing a large draw and over working the charging system. Remember this simple rule, electric current takes the easiest path to ground. Good Luck

yeah, you need some smarts-

tip #1 NEVER use air tools on the compensator.
the magnets on the rotor can be knocked loose and destroy the stator.

2.) ALL the charging system checks are in the service manual- get one.

3.) electricity is like basic plumbing- you may have a leak somewhere, it can be found by checking each circuit in turn for a draw.

check the battery cables and the ground strap under the bike--- make sure the insulation on the hot isn't nicked allowing the hot to short out

check the breaker---

or it's winter, come see me in PHX and I'll look at it, I'm good with electricity--- probably someone closer to you though.

CALL an auto electric shop-- the kind that fixes stuff not the kind that replaces parts-- they'll be able to help track down the problem.

don't buy any more parts with out a proper diagnosis.
