Default Handlebar Grip Removal

This might seem like an elementary question, but how are the grips removed? Especially the right grip that contains the throttle twist grip sensor.

Just pull on them, twist and pull, other special method?

I hope they do not need to be cut off.

Thanks!

The newer models, the TBW (right side) you need to undo the switch housing. Make sure you put a small piece of card board int the back of the brake lever to protect the switch. once the housing is apart a gentle tug should be all it takes to get the grip off.
The left side, you should still need to undo the switch housing, then I just used a hair drier and got the grip really good and warm, then started to twist and pull, it takes a bit but it will break free.
Mabe check out you tube it is unreal what you can find for videos on there
Alright did it for you.

You can cut your left grip off also.

HD replacement grips the left grip gets secured inside the left switch housing. Kuryakyn grips use glue for the left grip. Others use set screws to hold the left grip on.

On the TBW bikes, all brands notch into the right side switch housing the same.
