Fords vs. Chevy..... I've had good luck with both Sea Foam and Sta-bil. Just to be safe run some injector cleaner through your first tank next spring?

I use Stabil Marine, and she fires up IMMEDIATELY after a long storage.

Over the past couple years I have had a variety of dealers from cycles, snowmobiles, ATV's and Chainsaws advising to go with seafoam over sta-bil.

Seafoam is an awesome product, and I use it as a regular part of my routine maintenance. Every time I change oil, etc. I run a tank of Seafoam treated gas to clean things up.

However, it doesn't have any stabilizing qualities. It won't keep your fuel fresh over the winter. It might just keep things clean enough so the bike will start on stale gas. I don't have to park my bikes during the winter, so I don't use any Stabilizing products on my bikes. Just in the garden tractors, mowers, Garden tillers, weed-eaters, etc etc etc.

My son, a mechanic at a motorsports shop (four wheelers, boats, snowmobiles, etc.) attended an information clinic regarding these stabilers. He swears by STA-BIL MARINE and SEA-FOAM as his favorites. For what that is worth....
I used SEA-FOAM in cars for years as an engine treatment and also used their trans treatment. Totally unbelievably good results! Truly, a near miracle in a can!

I have both on the shelf, what makes Seafoam better, or Stabil worse?

great info and great question, as FenderGuy stated: Stabil is more of a on-trick pony, whereas Seafoam does lots of things well.

on-trick pony

It works very well with the EFI System, keeps sludge off the critical parts.

I recommend it in anything you will not ride or will store for 3 months or longer for up to two years + when mixed correctly.

Had it in my Honda mower that sat for three years, started up on the second pull, idled and ran very smooth, no backfire or miss when running.

Don't be put off by the cheesy name.Their old name was "Duralt",the same stuff H-D sells.............except H-D dilutes the product and doubles the price.

I also prefer Seafoam. Stabil works well but, makes the exhaust fumes really stink. I actually add seafoam regularly to all my vehicles to keep the injectors clean.
