Hey all, I have a 2001 Road king and would like to mount a cigarette lighter on my bike. Where is the delema, I would like the functionality of the lighter, (wife smokes and dont want to pull over everytime she wants to light up) and at the same time be able to power my GPS. Heres where I need help first I need a brand and maybe a linc to find it and second I need advice on where and how to mount it, pics would be great. Thanks in advance.
I hate cigarette smokers, cuz we all know where that butt goes when she's done with it. Mine is mounted through the left side cover...Dealer drilled a hole in it. Used to charge my Iphone as needed and I don't smoke

Bought one on ebay for 15 bucks ,it connects to the battery tender.got a 1 inch handle bar throtle clamp, slipped the clamp around the outlet and over the throtle wires,it sits right next to the tank and frame neck free to move as you turn
Harley makes one that comes with everything including the template, use either side cover, I have mine located into the right side cover. The lighter plugs into the extra accessory plug under the seat, depending on which model year they started putting that plug there.
I ordered my cigarette lighter from a marine supply company.
I had it on my previous bike...bought the lighter in 1998.
I mounted it on the stud for the horn, I have it wired to a home made fuse block.
i used a 15$ marine unit from wallyworld, mounted it on an acorn nut for the windshield next to the windsheild bag.it even came with a bracket.didnt even need a ground wire, moved one spring on the windsheild so it touched the metal on the mount and it grounded.one tip tie a leash on that lighter or youll be at the auto parts store about once a mounth.
