damn...why did I rent a Ultra Limited in Vegas......

I'm military so they have a special rate...my total with insurance was $162.44(per bike) for a 24 hour period. I think if you go on their website you can punch in the days you want to rent and it will give you an idea on what it will cost. If iirc it was close to 200.00 including insurance for non-military etc
Price for the touring bikes is all the same...I think the only lower priced rental is the 1200 Sportster.

Renting is what moved me from ST to Ultra... I wasn't sure I wanted to give up my Heritage that I had put so much into; but my girl absolutely loved riding on the Ultra vs. the Heritage... the ST was tolerable, but the Ultra is just pure fun and relaxation on a trip for her.... and I would not go back... haven't looked back. We did rent EGs and SGs several times while I had the ST. But the Ultra is it for us.... now to get her to go for the Limited.... although I'm a little leery of others experiences with the 110" vs. the 103". I have ridden both and each have their points.

I rented while in Vegas last summer from Eaglerider. The wife can't handle a touring bike on her own, so I chose a trike; we were both on vacation so it was ideal she took the handlebars every once in awhile.
When we went to pick up the bike, we had a choice of a HD Touring Trike or a Goldwing Trike (Champion Trike Conversion)... Since it was a little over 100* out, I chose the liquid cooled Goldwing... bad move!
We were having the time of our lives on that bike. It seemed like the power band never ended, smooth tranny, a real push-button adjustable suspension, GPS built in and a sound system you can actually hear at highway speeds. When stopped in traffic, there was no need to balance the bike, or the fear of dropping it. (at 5'7", I cannot reach the ground on a factory Goldwing).
I love my SG and the old lady's Deluxe, but when the time comes that I can no longer ride my two wheelers, a Goldwing trike will be at the top of my shopping list. (I'm sure by then, they'll have air conditioning as a standard option )
BTW, Vegas and its surroundings are a fantastic riding experience. It was in my bucket list...

LOL, I remember posting something about this in your original post, just a matter of time now! Felt the same way when I took off on the Ultra feeling how bigger it felt but once a few miles underway knew this was the bike for us. Just d-trimming our Ultra now piece by piece. One bike I have never had remorse in buying. Good Luck

+1 on the Ultra .. though I had to go used to fit one into budget but I'm happy with it. Thats after the Sporty & Dyna, there is something about that big open road and a HD tour bike but then the Ultra's just take it up that extra notch!
I tell my friends don't rent one unless you plan to buy one because there just is no turning back.
