No. Harley changed the materials the switch is made to tolerate higher temperatures. They just rounded the edges to make it easy to tell the new switches from the older ones.
Funny that the recall's scope is 2009 bikes and up...
especially since my 2008 with @ 18K on the clock just threw a DTC this week, and it's a current condition (non-historic code)... the code - C1216, which is Rear Brake Switch Open...
