Question Considering Big Bore for my '03...

I'm considering the 95 inch Screamin' Eagle Pro Stage II Big Bore kit for my Injected '03 Electra Glide Classic. I already have Vance and Hines slip ons, Screamin' Eagle Air Intake and flash, but would like to upgrade to the 95 inch kit. The Screamin' Eagle catalog shows it bumping the torque to almost a hundred foot pounds. Seems like a pretty good deal for 900 bucks...Any feedback on this is greatly appreciated.

I had a 95" shorty II big bore kit on my 2002 Heritage Springer. It ran really strong. The 203 cams gave it an amazing lope. You might look at FuelMoto's new BB kit for the 88" engine. Jamie gets some good numbers out of his kits.

I have a 95 kit my 05 EG. Not sure what stage you would call it. 4-5 maybe. It was done in 05 at a cost of $3800 and thats with a 30% discount to the original owner who worked at the dealership. I Have a partial build sheet so i dont know exactly what all was done but its FAST and FUN! A buddy of mine has an 04 ultra with the 95 kit, stock heads, Rinehart TDs, and SERT. Its a pretty big difference from a stock 88. Search this forum for info on changing primary gearing. Its a big gain in performance on the cheap.

I run the S/E 95" kit with the 203 cams too. I also added stock heads from 07 and up bike. EFI, Power Commander and Samson pipes. Had it dynoed a few years back. It runs very strong. If you are going to do the ams do the hydraulic cam plate upgrade kit too and get rid of the spring loaded tensioners.

Last time I had it dynoed before the cam palte upgrade, the newer heads (which flow better)and the current exhaust and heads it was 84 hp and 95 tq. That was with a D&D fatcat on it. Going to Samson duals has taken a tad away from my low end but I am sure it has more up high than it did. One day I'll get it dynoed again I just have not had the time to get it together.

What is the mileage on your bike? When it coems to builds, there are so many different options. Next time I open the cam chest i am thinking of doing some Andrews 26 or 37 cams. There has been no need to replace the 203's so they have remained. Also, repalce all the inner and outer cam bearings while in there. Torrington b 148's for the inners. I can't remember what the outer bearings are off the top of my head.

I am sure if i swapped some components and went with ported heads and such i could get to 100 easily, but my bike has so many miles I am more interested in longevity. At 68K miles right now and I need this bike to keep running to get me around.

Question

Bike has 3500 miles on it now, it had 2600 on it when I got it in September. I am also wondering how well the stock belt holds up with the extra torque? What about general dependability? Should I opt for a set of S/E heads while it's down? Thanks for all the feedback.
