Default Long Ride Shields

Saw a post the other day about them and decided to order one for my 2011 Street Glide. First I can say that it got here way quicker than I expected. Ordered it on a Thursday morning and received it on Saturday afternoon. Second it works like a charm. I ordered the 8" Ultra with the recurve. I'm 5'10 and it seems to be just the right size. I could have gone with the 7" but I decided to go with the 8" just in case. After 300 miles I can tell you it works great. I got mine shipped to me for around 83 bucks total! Well worth is for that price. I recommend it as a excellent replacement to the stock shield.

Just ordered same one this morning with the medium tint. Hopefully it will be here by about Thur. Glad to hear it works well. I was also debating between the 7" and 8", but after talking with LRS they recommended the 8". Can't wait to try it out.

Here is a pic with my Long Ride Shield. Since this picture was taken I have cut an additional 1-1/2" inches off of the bottom of mine. Directs air pretty good now. [IMG][/IMG]

+1 For LRS. I have an 8" Flat Top and love it.

I have a 9" recurve medium tint for longer hauls and winter riding and it works pretty good. My wife says it does add some back draft hitting her neck but other than that no issues. I'm 5'8" and can see over the 9 no problem.

+1, also bought the 9" for winter and longer rides. I'm 6' and it throws the air about 4" above my head, I'm considering trying the 8". Same comments on the backdraft for the passenger, but better than the trashing she takes with some of the shorter shields. If I'm going on a trip alone in warmer weather I run my 7". The pic is with the 9" on.
