Looks great.
Look closely. You can see it. It's black and blends in to the black background.

I'm just wondering why you bought a Arlen Ness A/C when you could of bought a K&N for a lot less money and the K&N is alot better filter set up.

The K&N setup is about 249 or so and I paid 119.95 for the Big Sucker which features the same type of filter, chrome backing plate and all the necessary install hardware.

while the Ness does not have a K&N brand filter- so far mine has been great and it is a tidy set up- easier install and much less expensive than the S/E.

the benefit of a high flow air cleaner is the lack of restriction for air entering the filter, the air horn ordering air into the intake, and the passages directing the crankcase blow by into the intake

Doesn't H-D sell a chrome cover for this? I tried looking but only found a black finish one. If anyone knows please let me know!

Thanks!

that's why I use the football cover

i think kuryakin makes a chrome cover ( they make shiny junk)--- but a chrome cover would draw the eye to it- a flat black cover may blend into the cylinders and shadows better.

If someone wanted to be really cool, the pins could be removed from the plastic block and inserted directly, use a little heat shrink tubing the conceal the wires coming out of the sheath.

it brings clear the realization that many modifications require further mods

Don't think H-D has a chrome throttle body cover. Kury has one like stated above but really didn't like the look of it that much so I opted for the wrinkle black TB cover and while I was at it I changed the backplate to wrinkle black as well. The finishing touch was to shoot the breather bolts with a little VHT high temp textured black paint.

mkguitar makes a great point: the stock football not only covers the ugly wiring harness, but also protects the filter from the elements.

Regarding installation, here's a great video demo of an AN Big Sucker installation, from beginning to end, produced by Arlen Ness:

Good luck!

LOL! Looked at the same pic tonight & see the connector bigger than life. So much for growing old gracefully!
