Default Docking Hardware for a 95 RG Ultra?

I checked with a dealer in NV where I'm stuck working for another month. Would like to be able to take the TP off for short rides. They tell me it doesn't exist. Only goes back to 96 is what they say.

Anyone have any other info or ideas?

Thanks!

I had a 1995 FLHTC.

removing the tour pak takes about 30 minutes once you have done it a few times.

You could change the hardware on the t/p to mount so it comes off fast, then just have the mount to remove.

If you permanently relocate the license plate and figure out the wiring, you'll be fine.

I didn't word my original question very well....

What I was really asking, is there an aftermarket set up for a "quick connect/disconnect" as there are on the newer models?

don't think so.

I never found one- really bolting on and off is not big deal-- the interesting part is the audio- the lighting is pretty straight forward.

i use 4 connector flat trailer plugs for the lights

you could try asking in the evo forum.

You can use any of the parts up to 2008 when they changed the frame. The 94/95/96 frame is different than the 97 to 08 frames, but not by much. I had a 94 RK, bought the quick detach kit for a tourpak, and I am still using the kit today on my 08 SG.

The front mounts and the rear hoop mounts fit fine. My brother had a 97 RK at the time, and he borrowed my tourpak for a long ride one summer, and if I recall, all he had to do was mount the front dock point in another hole, he had a choice of two, from where I mounted mine.

If you can get a kit for a 96, it should fit your bike fine. The major difference is that the mounting bracket for the tourpak changed to a different style later on due to a tendency to crack. Can't comment on that, had mine 17 years and it's still fine....
