Talking New rear tire, E3 on my Ultra

Last week I posted about my shameful neglect to recognize the rear tire on my '07 Ultra was totally shot. A 2" wide slick is what it was and pointed out to me by a co-worker. I've had the bike less than 4 months and it appeared to have 50% or more tread when I bought it but, aside from checking air pressure on a regular basis, I never got down and actually looked at the tire. Anyway, bought a new E3 from Dennis Kirk, shipped to door for under 130 bucks. Removed the wheel and took it to a local MC tire shop yesterday, mounted and balanced and back on the bike. 200 mile ride today and the difference between the stock rear and the new E3 is incredible. Of course having some tread probably accounts for some of the improvement but aside from that, the E3 is totally unaffected by rain grooves, tar snakes and even expansion joints at speed don't waver this tire one bit. Bike was as smooth as riding on glass. Very impressed and hope I get some decent mileage from this one. Also wished they made them in a whitewall, but couldn't find one. Very happy overall with this tire so far.
