Same here...started with the locking button (HD) and soon changed to the Kuryakn push button as the locking button was difficult to open

It may not be gas they are looking for. Vandals can ruin a good bike putting stuff in your tank. However I have the keyless gas cover and no I never lock it. It works great by the way.

I bought the locking push button shortly after buying my bike last year. Tried adjusting it every which way I could and was never able to get it to easily pop open. I always had to use a key or something to press in on the little button in the centre as a finger press couldn't depress it enough. I recently bought the domed one and that works perfect. Should have got the non-locking one in the first place.

I bought the lockable one with the small push button, just use the edge of the hammer on your Colt .45 to open it. Sometimes you get free gas !......
