This is not true. The race tuner has a smart tune function that does not require a dyno. It requires a computer along with the program. You can make changes and play around with it as you please. However if you did want to have it dyno'd, it does not have to be at the dealer. Any indy with a dyno can do it

My SEPRT is fully programmable. Just buy the software and cable, hook it up to the PC and make any changes I want. Didn't know they were no longer available. EPA don't like them and the label says "off road only", but as of a couple of months ago, you could still buy them.

Sounds to me like you believed the dealer when he lied and told you only they could tune a SERT.

pillows, the PCIII is a less expensive option.
Any competent indy or dealer can tune either of those units.
Fuel Motto has a great customer service record, imo only.
A SERT is a little more fussy and therefore a little more expensive to tune.
I should have kept my PCIII but chose the SERT as it was a deal that cost me lots more in dyno time and I have a basic 95'' with se 203 cams.
Your mileage may/will vary.

As CndUltra95 stated here, I depends on what you want out of your bike.
