Heated Grips for the new Ultra Classic's
I was freaking out after readings posts and the Dealer telling me they charge 2.5 hours labor = $250.00.
I just installed the stock HD heated grips like on the 2011 LTD. It was easier than the instructions. The Dealers Service Department told me that it would be $250.00 labor and the job takes 2 1/2 hours. I did it in well under 2 hours. The trick was to remove the radio first before feeding the wires thru the handlebar. The throttle side is already wired.
The 2008~2009 models may be harder to install.

I installed my radar detector inside the fairing on my Road Glide Ultra. It stays dry, isn't subject to being stolen and most importantly the Va State Police can't see it. I wired the audio output to the AUX input on the radio and used the Aux switch just to the right of the cruise switch for power. When in use I select aux audio on the radio. This does prevent you from using your radio for music but I use MP3 anyway. I did try just hooking the output of the detector to the speakers and it worked but I was concerned about having 2 inputs to the speakers. I'm sure there are some audio experts who could tell us how to do this correctly.
