Using Pingel 62051 spacer for 140 rear tire
When I replace my rear tire on my 02 RKC I want to get a 140mm instead of 130mm rear tire. I was doing some research to see if its possible and it seems that to prevent possible rubbing on the belt one can use Pingel's spacer 62051 and it will move the belt away from the rear tire by .200 so that there is no rubbing.
For those who have done this I have a quick question:
1. Do you reuse your pulley bolts, or do you need longer ones to make up for the thickness of the spacer (#62051)?
2. Does anything else need to be done, or is it simply insert the spacer and put everything back together as normal? No other changes?
Thanks for the help.

The front pulley is much wider than the rear one, so a spacer between the rear pulley and wheel will simply move the belt across by the width of the spacer.
I have run a 140/90 by simply trimming the belt guard where the tyre gets close to the belt. I had 3/16" clearance, which is plenty. If you check your bike and you have a similar clearance, that is the simplest and cheapest thing to do.
I suspect you only need a small amount of extra clearance, so you could use a thinner spacer. Vulcan make them down to 1/8", which should be thick enough.
Your pulley screws are OK for three applications, from what I can make out, so refit them with blue loctite and as long as they haven't been reused several times you should be fine.

I just installed the spacer on my 03 Roadking and i did not trim the belt guard. i removed the two bolts that holds the rear part of the belt guard on the swing arm and used a dremmel tool to slot the holes in the plastic to move the guard away from the tire keeping. the guard intact. A small piece of gravel in the belt can do a lot of damage to the belt.

Welcome to HDF from the UK. What size of spacer did you use? Could be you can use a thinner one and get enough clearance.
