To Lower or not to Lower

I used these http://www.lachoppers.com/catalog/di...313/index.html.
They lower the bike and do not change shock angle. I took off my shocks and raised the axle to check for any clearance problems, ther were none. Rides nice

Ultras have different shocks because they are "HEAVIER" than SG & RG. The SG & RG shocks do not work that great. Lowering blocks, bad idead. IMO, you would be better off to have shocks built for what you want. Of course be ready to spend the $$$$$. Of course that's just my 2 cents. Good luck anyway you go.

Similar, only installed Progressive 412s on the rear lowering it by 1-1/2 inches and Progressive Drop-In springs on the front and this dropped the front by 1 inch. Lowering the bike by 1/2 inch more in the rear, or the overall effect of lowering the bike has marginally improved the handling - or it might just be that the front & rear suspension is now all new!
The result .....

Lowering kits 2011 FLHTK
I tried the e-bay kit that has 1" to 3" drop. Changes shock angle and the bike handled LOUSY .In Daytona I borrowed some wrenches and took them off! So now I ordered a Steet Glide seat. Iam 65 now and 6ft 1in. but I have trouble swinging my leg over the stock seat. I hope this seat works. I'm scuffing the heck out of my stock seat.
