Default Best Speaker For The Money

I am needing to replace my fairing speakers in my 2010 FLHTCU. I do not have an amp now, but could be adding one later, would be one that would install on top of the radio. What is the best speaker to get for the buck as I am not looking for the most expensive one. I will be replacing the tour pac speakers at a later date. I need some that hold up alot better than the original junk ones do.

Best bang for the buck that I found were these (they have a 6.5 version too):

I just put a pair of Hybrid Audio Mirus 6.5" speakers in the faring with an ELF amp.

Sounds great and speakers cost $100 at my local mobile audio store.

Just about anything will be a major improvement over stock. Set a budget and go listen to as many as you can. If you can swing the cost of a 6.5" (including adapter rings) you will probably be happier than a 5.25" direct replacement. Especially when an amp is added later on.

If your still running the Harmon Kardon stereo you need 2 ohm speakers. I used J&M 7.25s with no amp. With a cd they can be too loud at 70mph. And i run a really short windshield!
