  • HD '11 compact tool kit
  • HD 2008 tool roll
  • Other misc tools, Gerber, tire gauge, etc.
  • 12VDC tire pump
  • Stop n' Go tire repair kit
  • 6' siphon
  • Jumper cables
  • (long) spark plug wire
  • First aid kit and small assortment of "get me to the pharmacy" stuff - A few ibuprphen, acetominiphen, aspirin, TUMS, etc.)
  • 2x parking pucks
  • Half roll T.P.
  • A few batteries
  • flashlight
  • lighter & firestarter
  • A few small tubes of SPF 30
  • 2 packs of smokes (occasionally rotated)
  • BugSlide
  • A couple rags
  • I'm sure I'm forgetting something...
  • Maps
  • Manual
  • Insect repellent
  • Small (12"?) "cargo net" thing
  • On trips, I fill a 20oz "sport" water bottle with SYN3 and keep it in the flap-covered slot on the left saddlebag guard.

Some of that is for me, a lot of it is for someone I probably haven't met yet. I've gone through several old T-shirts and sweat shirts, a hat or two, tire plugs, a bit of fuel and fluids here and there, the other spark plug wire, plenty of OTC pain-killers and TUMS just running across someone in need on the side of the road or under a bridge in a storm or what not. Maybe I'll start calling it a "Karma Kit" -- One of these days, I'm going to be on the side of the road needing something I don't have and hopefully someone will be able to give me a hand.

I didn't used to carry a siphon until I ran across a motorcyclist who was out of gas and miles from the next exit, I never carried an air pump until I was helping someone plug a tire and didn't have enough air in those CO2 cartridges to really get him (and his wife) going safely.

On the easy side, all that is in the bags and there's still room for a light jacket. The TourPak is basically empty and ready for my luggage.

Yes -- Some will say that I "over-pack" -- But I'd much rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. And as a lot of my riding buddies don't have luggage space, I'm sort of "the supply guy" on a lot of trips.

I think ya forgot the whiskey for when ya run across a medical emergency

Most of the time I carry a 40. I must also say that Custom Sporty is in part correct with the comment he/she made!
