anyone paint the motor jugs (fins) black?

I did this on my 'Zuki GS450T years ago. I used "UHT" Ultra High Temperature black rattle can. They had, as I recall, not just black & silver, but red, yellow and blue. Also came in two finishes, smooth and wrinkle-coat. I used black wrinkle, and it lasted longer than the bike did.
Since technology is better than it was in 1982, I'd say go for it.

doing it soon. my current setup is 96" black jugs with aluminum exposed edges. Got a set of new 103"'s , but they are aluminum in color with exposed edges. Bought some black 1/8 tape on ebay to mark off all the edges, will make some cardboard cylinder covers, then spray with heat proof engine paint.
