Projector.

Probably going to order the kit from The Retrofit Source or Hid Illusionz with the Morimoto mini ds2 projector.

Gotcha..

I ordered a 55W 6000K HID kit from DDM.. If I'm not satisfied with it then I'll throw a projector lens in there.

Default Hid kit

Installing a HID ballast and bulb without a projector lens is illegal and unsafe. The light will dazzle the oncoming drivers and really not be focused enough with the stock headlight to provide a constant beam of light.

Unless your vehicle came with HID's, its illegal with or without a projector. Not DOT approved. That said, I don't think there's a LEO around that would issue a summons for running HIDs unless it was to bust a tuner acting like an a hole with obnoxious purple (over 7-8000K) lights. Stay under 6k (4 to 5 is better) and you'll be fine.
