I went J&M 7.25" ROKKERs with J&M amp. I highly recommend the J&M 7.25" ROKKERs with the plug and play J&M amp. Your bike will sound like a rolling concert hall at all speeds!

Let us know if we can help.

I installed a pair of Pioneer ts-g1343r on my 2000 Electra Glide. They are 4ohm, 25 watt rms and 140 watt max. The magnets are about 5x the size of the factory speakers. Fitment was good, even though the tweater in the center is protruding about 1/8" above the speaker mount, but they worked fine.

I picked them up at Walmart for $50 after reading this thread and replaced my factory speakers.
They are much louder that before, and I can run my bass all the way up without much distortion.
W/ the factory speakers they would distort with only 1/2 the bass turned up.

Much better than before, I took it for a ride this evening and got up to 80mph and could still hear it loud and clear.

A very cheap and inexpensive upgrade. I was thinking of a hawg wired kit, but thought a $50 try was worth it. And it was

It's hard to beat J&M audio, period. Speakers, headsets, all good. Much less distortion compared to the cheap China speakers that come stock on HDs. Most of the guys running the big 7.5" speakers need an amp or some say they don't sound so good...at least that is what I have read in the past. Me, I went with no amp, and the J&M regular sized speakers. They come with a 2 ohm impedance.

The sound difference, and quality, is quite noticeable. I would never consider an amplifier, it's just not needed with these speakers. IMHO of course. And forget the HD speaker grills, why would you spend this money and want it to preserve a stock look?
