Default Chrome front master cylinder

A friend bought a Chrome Clutch Bracket & Master Cylinder Reservoir Kit # 45281-99D several years ago but never installed it on his bike. I have a 2009 EGC and would love to chrome out the clutch and master cylinder. As many of you know the 08 and 09 models tend to weep at the cover on the front master cylinder. The kit says it fits 1996-2004 Touring models. Will it fit a 09 EGC? I know the DOT Brake fluid is different for the newer bikes but this kit has never been used, in fact I opened the box.

Thanks

Bill
