Jumped off into the deep end of the pool!
I have had several Harley's over the last decade and was extremely happy with my V-Rod I bought in April of 2009. I couldn't have ever dreamed of considering another bike until I did a ride review of a 2011 Ultra Classic....the penultimate Grandpa Touring Rig from Harley-Davidson. http://www.bikernet.com/pages/story_detail.aspx?id=8693
Since that damned ride over a year ago, I have been waging a terrible internal battle to justify selling the V-rod and moving into the grandaddy of all tourers. Finally, yesterday, after almost a full year of internal turmoil, my wife and I went to the dealer and talked to them about a Road Glide Custom. She was beautiful, and sexy, and smooth. I was willing to take the beating on the V-Rod to get into a deal for that monster until I made the mistake and sat on this incredible blue and black Ultra Classic Limited!
Needless to say, after an afternoon of haggle, crying, and back-fisting, I was riding home on a new big rig.
I picked up my son last night and he immediately climbed on board asking, "Where we gonna go?" During our little "trip around the block" he told me this was the greatest ride of his life and wanted to know if I could take him everywhere on the bike. Also, my wife has already ridden on the back twice since I picker her up yesterday evening, and that's already double the times she's ridden the V-Rod. What a great bike!

Great to hear, I went from a gsxr 750, which I had a solo seat on because the wife wouldnt dare get on it, to my Cop glide converted for 2 up and the wife LOVES it and the ride is so much better. I have never regretted getting rid of the crotch rocket and getting a mans bike. Enjoy your new ride, im sure you will for many years to come.
