Default lower fairing question?

I found a real good deal on a set of lower fairings from a 2005 ultra classic and I want to put them on my 07 flhx. The p&a catalog says that vented fairings fit 83 later touring models and the flhx models require the install of engine guard p/n 49184-09 or 49050-09 and that the flhx models also require a steering stabilizer bracket p/n 83865-09. for those who have put lowers fairings on a flhx, did you have to change out the crash bars and use this stabilizer? A dealer said they fit right on, but I figured id ask those of you that have done it. Thanks

They'll fit fine. The current P&A catalog, page 336, says nothing about the FLHX requiring any additonal parts.

There is a reference to the FLHXXX (which is the Trike model; not the Street Glide), requiring a steering stabililzer bracket.

Good luck with your project.
