Default Longer dash?

After several attempts I've finally found a seat that my wife & I both like but it doesn't extend up & over the tank like the stock seat did.

Here's a crappy pic but this is what's exposed now

Could someone please point me in the direction of a longer dash that's pretty much a direct swap? I would prefer a stock piece from a different model or year but aftermarket is fine as long as it's not too flashy.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you have a Road King seat. Maybe you could find the same seat in an ultra version. Most of the ones I have seen come both ways.

This is the seat I have

I like that it doesn't extend up onto the tank...but I also don't like the gap it has created.

Looks like you need a Street Glide tank console possibly if you want to go factory or maybe a Road Glide console. They both extend farther down. Only thing is it has the SG or RG console label in it.

Not sure about later Road Glides but my 1999 model has a short dash, when I changed the seat on mine it left about a 2" gap. I bought an dash extension to fill the gap, but I can't remember who made it

Go to H-D and ask for part no. 52447-96. This is a trim piece made specifically for this application. Retail is $24.95.

labels can be replace quite easily. otherwise those consoles are the same.

in 2010, when they made the road glide custom, they are the same as the street glide, except with different fairing.
